SATELLITE FIELD CLASSES INFORMATION

Field Session Fees:

Field Session Fee (1 child): $375

Field Session Day Pass: $48

Field Session Twins Fee: $475

Field Session Twins Day Pass: $60 ($30 per child)

Field Session Sibling’s Fee: $500

Field Session Sibling’s Day Pass: $64 ($32 per child)

Field Session Requirements and Important Information:

  • Sessions are 8 weeks long. You may be able to receive a FREE 9th “make-up” class at the end of your session if more than half the class participants have missed a class, and the group is “re-enrolling”.
  • All Satellite field classes are being held both inside and outside in “outdoor classrooms”. The minimum number of students is eight (8) – twins count as one.
  • The maximum number of field session students is ten (10) for Older Baby/Toddler Classes and twelve (12) for Younger Baby Classes (given there is adequate space).
  • Sessions with more than the maximum number of students needs to be approved by the teacher.
  • Any and all credits expire within one (1) year of purchase.
  • Sessions include 8 consecutive classes.  Since the session is “pre-paid” the number of attendees at each class is irrelevant.
  • Siblings may be permitted to attend class due to holidays or childcare issues with the Host’s permission, only if there is space, and with prior notification to the OTB Admin Office.  There is a $15 sibling’s fee that will be applied if the child/children are going to participate in class.
  • Session dates may be extended if it is necessary to skip a class (i.e., decided by the group for a holiday, illness, teacher-cancellation, out of town host, RAIN, etc.). These classes are not available to be refunded, but will be tacked on to the end of the session. 
  • Session spots are held by those who paid for the session in full.  Spots in class cannot be sold, traded, borrowed, or used by other students.
  • The teacher can, and may make the decision to cancel the class if traveling to the class is dangerous (weather, accident, etc.). We do NOT teach classes when it is raining, both at the leaving destination (where the teacher is coming from) and the final destination (where class is being held). This is due to increased risk and liability. For clarification; if the ground is wet, slippery, or poses any kind of threat of possible injury – class will be cancelled.  The class will be tacked on to the end of the session.
  • All teachers have a 15-minute “grace period” to get to class. The teachers are traveling from the Valley and LA traffic is often challenging. This obviously should not be the standard, but please be aware there may be delays in class-times.  Our teachers will make the most effort possible to be on-time to every class.
  • It is common for a new field class to postpone their start date while they recruit the required number of students to launch.  Delays in start dates should be expected for new classes.  There are no refunds offered for this type of delay.
  • Payments can be made by using credit cards or Zelle.  We do not accept checks.  Venmo payments are discouraged as we get charged extra for them.  If you must pay only via Venmo, please add an additional $15 on to your total to cover the Venmo fee (we are a business) and the additional accounting staff fee.
  • It is possible that the start date of your session may be bumped a week or so, if the session before your group was required to skip a class.  This happens often due to weather, illness, holidays, etc.  Please know that start dates may be postponed.
  • Once a session has been assigned a day/time and teacher; the groups are given five (5) days to complete their enrollment. If the group cannot get their participants to enroll timely, the session may be cancelled or postponed, and the members will be credited.
  • All field sessions choosing to continue with a new session, once their current session is over, will be re-enrolled in class/week 6 of 8.  Current/active sessions have priority on our schedule over new groups.
  • Re-enrollment happens in week 6 of 8, regardless if the group has skipped classes or not. Meaning, 6 weeks from the session start date, the group will be given the option to re-enroll. If re-enrolling, the groups will be asked to submit payment in full.
  • PRIVATE FIELD CLASSES:  These are classes that already have a set group and who are not welcoming new members.  If the class description says “Private” and you are not part of said group, please do not sign up for that particular class.
  • PRIVATELY INSTRUCTED FIELD CLASSES: The fee for Privately Instructed Field Classes with only one child is $3,000 for an 8 week session.

Payments:

  • Payment is due before the session start-date.  We do not accept payments the day of the class.
  • Payments are made through our website, or over the phone with our front desk staff. Zelle is also available.
  • Twins count as one student when registering for field classes, due to the significant discount applied.
  • Checks are not accepted for payment.
  • We do not accept cash in the field.
  •  We do not offer refunds, there are no exceptions.

Communication:

  • ALWAYS check your email the morning of class.  This is how we communicate with you.  We strongly suggest you add your phone number to your profile when setting up your personal information so we can contact you this way if needed.  You will always receive an email the night before your session starts confirming the launch date, as well as offering of pertinent information pertaining to your session.  This is done so that we can give people ample time (and up to the last minute) to register to get a session started.
  • When you are enrolled in a new session, all participants will receive an informational/intro email the night before the session starts.
  • All current sessions get first priority on our schedule in regard to continuing their session.  We always “re-enroll” field session wishing to continue in week 6 of 8.  Re-enrollment for continuing groups needs to be timely to secure their spot on our calendar for the net session.

Online Registrations:

  • Please be sure to register in YOUR name on our site (the parents’ name), and add your child under “relationships”.  It is not pertinent that you register your child’s name with our site, but if you decide to, please be sure to do it as an alternate name/relationship in your profile.  This is important when reconciling payments for classes and securing registrations.  If you need help with this or have questions, please call our front desk, and they can help you (818) 348-PLAY.

Make-Up Classes:

  • Each field session participant is offered one (1) free make-up class at the Center in Woodland Hills or at another nearby age-appropriate field session. Your make-up class cannot be applied to your future “session fee”.  Please email registration@otbee.com to let us know what class you would like to be enrolled in for your make-up class.  Classes should be scheduled once your current session has finished. You may also call the front desk, and they can register you over the phone for your make-up class (818) 348-PLAY.
  • Make-up classes need to be used within 60 days of your session ending and cannot be given away, nor used/applied to your next session.
  • Your teacher may offer you and 9th class (to your 8-class session), making the 9th class a “make-up” class if half, or more than half the group participants have missed a class, and the group is re-enrolling.  This is not offered to groups that are not re-enrolling.

Refund Policy:

We do not offer refunds for illness, vacations, scheduling conflicts, nap schedule changes, holidays, host cancellations, work commitments, unforeseen circumstances that are out of our control, weather, or any changes made to the class schedule/location made by the host or the group collectively, etc.  There is no exception to this policy. If your session does not commence on time, you will receive a credit with OTB for future field sessions, or OTB Center classes.  DO NOT sign up for a session if you are unwilling to receive a “class credit” and NOT a refund in this situation. If, by chance an exception is made to this policy (for extenuating circumstances) your refund will be given to you in the form of a check, and mailed within 30 days of the request. Exceptions are highly unlikely.  If you are not 100% comfortable with this policy, we advise that you DO NOT sign up for a field session with OTB.  Chargebacks are always contested for this reason.
